LIVE MotoGP - Repsol Honda racer Marc Marquez, upcoming MotoGP 2023. He admitted that he and Honda would not be seeded because of the results obtained in the 2022 season.
Honda failed miserably and was unable to compete in MotoGP 2022. What's worse, they weren't even able to win a single win last season.
Out of the 20 races it has run, Honda has only been able to record two podiums. Among other things, when Pol Espargaro won the third podium at the Qatar MotoGP, and Marc Marquez who ended the Australian MotoGP in second place.
Honda itself continues to work hard in developing motors. However, Marquez has not been able to try it, until the pre-season trial at the Sepang Circuit in February 2023.
Marquez himself emphasized that he is still aiming for the world title. However, he realized that he would not be the top seed when he started MotoGP 2023.
“My goal is to chase the world title. I realize that neither I nor Honda will start next year as the flagship. Honda and I have to work hard," said Marc Marquez, quoted from Marca.
Even so, Marquez still has faith with Honda. He believes Honda's hard work at this point will pay off. Especially with the capabilities of a manufacturer as big as Honda.
“We have the same level of confidence. Now we have to see how far we can go. The good thing is that Honda is a big manufacturer, who was able to reverse the situation drastically in a short time," said Marquez.
